Under the premise “To produce is to win!” , the governor of Apure, Wilmer Rodríguez, began the 2026 planting cycle in the region with the formal delivery of 300 grants for the planting of 1000 hectares of bare corn to strengthen cereal production.

The 300 credits were given to producers belonging to six strategic communes in the Biruaca municipality, including: Warriors of the Homeland, Sons of Chávez, Born to Win with Chávez, Revolution in Progress, Winners of the Plains I and Winners of the Plains, Rodríguez reported on an Instagram account.

He also explained that the agricultural plan for this cycle plans to reach a total of 2,500 hectares of corn, which will be geographically distributed as follows: 1,000 hectares destined for the Biruaca municipality and 1,500 in the Achaguas municipality.

One of the most important points highlighted by Rodríguez was the use of the sovereign seed “La Apureña”. This input, sown, cultivated and certified on local land under high quality standards, represents a significant advance in the state's technological and agricultural independence.

“We have the land, the supplies, the knowledge and the perfect articulation as a single team between the National, Regional, Local Government and organized Popular Power,” said the president.

The delivery of funding and supplies will not be an isolated event; the plan includes a comprehensive program of technical support. “Experts in the area will guide producers in the critical phases of: Soil preparation, planting and constant monitoring of the crop,” he said.

With this action, the Bolivarian Government of Apure reaffirms its commitment to achieving maximum levels of productive performance, betting on working together to guarantee the supply and economic prosperity of the llanera region.
