The Bolivarian Government handed over the rehabilitated fifth floor of the General Hospital of the South in Zulia

The Bolivarian Government completely rehabilitated the fifth floor of the “Dr. Pedro Iturbe” General Hospital of the South, located in the municipality of San Francisco, in Zulia.

The inauguration was led by the governor of the state of Zulia, Luis Caldera, who asserted that the site was rehabilitated to guarantee the right to health of Venezuelans.

Caldera explained that the fifth floor was completely new with 17 rooms, 38 new beds, for general hospitalization areas, including chest surgery, traumatology, general surgery and neurosurgery.

“The inauguration of this apartment translates into the well-being of our patients,” he said.

Caldera reported that in addition to the delivery of the fifth floor, the oncology area received 60 tons of air conditioning, as well as improvements to the emergency area

For his part, Antuan Marín, director of the General Hospital of the South, Pedro Iturbe, said that the inauguration of the apartment is an achievement that simplifies free and quality care for the well-being of our patients.

He indicated that an area was also set up for health personnel, doctors, nurses and sanitation personnel, in addition to a dining room, a multiple room for the defense and study of surgical clinical cases.
