The Bolivarian Government of Miranda repaired 25 breakdowns in drinking water pipes in Brión

After the earthquakes recorded on June 24, the drinking water distribution system in the Brión municipality registered 25 faults in the 75-kilometer stretch of pipeline that guarantee the supply of the vital liquid.

In this regard, the Ministry of Popular Power for Water, through Hidroven, activated the Immediate Action Plan, to guarantee the supply of vital liquid in the Brión municipality.

In this regard, the Bolivarian Government of Miranda indicated that to date, the recovery of 300 liters per second has been achieved.

The mayor of the town, Olga Pacheco, said that after the earthquakes, a contingency plan was activated for the distribution of drinking water with tankers that served 91 communities with 1 million 368 thousand liters, favoring 4 thousand 568 families.

In addition, he added that “we already have the recovery of 80% of the entire system, of the Barlovento aqueduct, thanks to the timely work of Hidroven, the Vice Presidency of Public Works and Services, the Government of Miranda (...) All State entities working for the welfare and care of our people.”

He also highlighted that in areas such as Acevedo and Páez, the piped drinking water distribution system is already 100% operational, Andrés Bello 95%, Buroz 70% and Pedro Gual 60 percent.
