A total of 1 thousand 53 children and adolescents will benefit, through the Somos Especiales program, with the delivery of medicines from the 14 municipalities of Yaracuy.

According to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Úlmas Noticias, the director of the program, Gregoriana Morón, who was present at the delivery of 573 medicines to 120 children and young people in the municipality of Bruzual, specified that two days had been held previously: one in Cocorote, where 233 medicines were distributed to 33 children and another in Nirgua, where 1,476 were delivered to 118 children.

In addition, it was announced that deliveries will continue for the following days in the rest of the municipalities, until the supply of medicines is completed to the 1 thousand 53 children and adolescents with various conditions.

Morón said that 8,223 neurobehavioral and anticonvulsant treatments and high-cost vitamins are delivered bimonthly.

“He clarified that the treatments provided go hand in hand with gradual consultations in different areas and exams, to update the patient's evaluation,” the newspaper reported.

“This program, which was dreamed of more than a year ago, is now a reality thanks to the support of our president Nicolás Maduro, Governor Julio León and the state's first female fighter, Jessica Serrano de León, who have put in special efforts so that we can serve our children and young people with diverse abilities with love,” said the official.
