The Bolivarian Government plants more than 24,000 pine trees in 24 hectares of the Uverito Forest between Anzoátegui and Monagas

The Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism reported that a total of 24,480 Caribbean pine (Pinus caribaea) plants were planted in 24 hectares (ha) of the Uverito Forest, as part of the Chuquisaca National Reforestation Plan 2026.
In this regard, the director of the Territorial Unit for Ecosocialism (UTEC) in the state of Anzoátegui, Yamil Saleh, specified that the activity was carried out with the Terranova forestry company of the Masisa Group, in the Guayamure estate, Mata de Toro sector of the Mamo parish, Independencia municipality.
The official recalled that the planted forest, which is located between the states of Anzoátegui and Monagas, is a Special Management Area (ABRAE), which is called an Affected Area for the Establishment, Conservation and Use of Forest Plantations.
Workers from the timber company participated in the activity, together with officials from Administrative Area number 4 of UTEC Anzoátegui and the Department of Environment of the Independencia municipality.
