The BRICS+ Young Diplomats Forum kicked off in Russia

This Thursday, the VI BRICS+ Young Diplomats Forum began in the Russian Federation and will last until August 31. After nine years, the capital of Bashkortostan once again welcomed more than a hundred delegates from some 30 countries in the global South and East.

The event coincides with the Russian presidency of the BRICS, during the development of the Annual Forum of Young Diplomats of the BRICS+ Group, an initiative launched by the Council of Young Diplomats of the Russian Foreign Ministry in 2015, seeks to strengthen ties between young people from the global south and east.

The meeting serves as a platform to promote friendship and build trust between the diverse populations of these regions.

The main theme is the role of youth diplomacy in strengthening multilateralism for equitable global development and security, Sputnik details.

Within the framework of the event, an extensive business and cultural program is developed, with debates focused on a wide variety of topics, such as the cultural and humanitarian cooperation of the BRICS, the influence of the bloc on the world economy and its role in the global political and security architecture.
