The country's sports community is getting ready to defend the Homeland

The Venezuelan sports community said “I join the Tricolor” present at the conference in response to the call of the president of the republic Nicolás Maduro for the defense of sovereignty, patriotism and national identity.

The Gastón Portillo gymnasium of the National Sports Institute served as the stage for the day led by the Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Franklin Cardillo, in the company of other sports authorities.

Cardillo expressed support for the initiative and invited the workforce of the IND and MINDEPORTE to support homeland mobilization from their workplace.

“Every Venezuelan who considers himself a patriot, an independence activist, must step up for the independence and sovereignty of our country. Nothing stands still here. If you are thinking 'I don't know how to shoot a rifle, I'm not ready for this', it must be said that the commitment and willingness that we all have in defense of the homeland can be greater”, reinforced Minister Cardillo, quoted in a press release from the ministerial portfolio.
