The Economic Productive Council installed in Puerto La Cruz to strengthen territorial development

From the Cayaurima Hall of the Paradise Hotel, the Economic Productive Council of the Juan Antonio Sotillo municipality, Anzoátegui state, was officially installed, an instance of strategic coordination aimed at boosting the commercial, financial and productive growth of the territory, guaranteeing the operational sustainability of government programs and strengthening local economic engines.
The event was chaired by Mayor Jesús Marcano Tábata, who reaffirmed his administration's commitment to participatory planning and development with identity.
“This Council was created to listen, plan and build with all sectors. Our communes, our fishermen, our farmers are represented here,” said the regional president, highlighting the inclusive and transformative nature of this new platform.
He was accompanied by municipal, regional and sectoral authorities, including the first female fighter Yohana Estaba de Marcano; the national deputy Luis Vásquez; the president of the Municipal Chamber, Darwin Álvarez; and representatives of the Government, the Venezuelan National Anonymous Telephone Company (CANTV); Conferry, Navibus, Gran Cacique, Fedeindustria, the Service National Integrated Customs and Tax Administration (SENIAT) and the Ministries of Hydrocarbons, Tourism and Commerce.
Among those present were the Secretary of Economy of the state of Anzoátegui, Jesús Figueroa; the Secretary of Municipal Economy, José Saiz; and the president of the Sotillo Tourism Corporation, Jesús López, who presented proposals aimed at strengthening the popular economy, sustainable tourism, food sovereignty and productive innovation.
The installation of the Economic Productive Council marks a milestone in municipal management, consolidating a governance model that prioritizes citizen participation, democratic planning and economic development with a local sense.
Sotillo is moving steadily towards a future where every corner of the municipality, from its coasts to its mountains, becomes a seed of productivity, innovation and collective well-being.
