The Electric General Staff oversaw the operation of the El Guri Hydroelectric Power Plant

The General Electric Staff carried out an inspection day at the Simón Bolívar Hydroelectric Power Plant, known as El Guri, in the state of Bolívar, to evaluate the operating conditions of the complex, which generates more than 70% of the electricity consumed by the country.

The supervision made it possible to verify the technical processes and review the advances related to the operation of this strategic infrastructure, as part of the national deployment aimed at ensuring the continuity of essential public services, according to a note from Última Noticias.

The sector vice-president of Public Works and Services, Juan José Ramírez Luces, led the tour on instructions from the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.

The Minister for Electric Energy, Rolando Alcalá, and the Minister for Habitat and Housing, Paola Posani, also participated in the activity, together with representatives from the Water, Cantv, PDVSA Gas, the People's Guard and the Shock Force.

During the day, the multidisciplinary team evaluated operational aspects of the plant and defined strategies aimed at optimizing the provision of fundamental services and contributing to the stability of the National Electricity System.

Alcalá ratified through its social networks the authorities' commitment to the permanent monitoring of the hydroelectric complex's facilities and actions aimed at guaranteeing electricity supply to the population.
