The Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López and the Vice President of Policy, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, led the delivery of combat equipment and transport to the URRA (Rapid Reaction Units), as well as the recognition of men and women dedicated to preserving the peace of the Republic.

“We are contributing to the supreme peace of the Republic, with the delivery of material and equipment, as well as with the recognition of the personnel for their struggles in recent times and for the detachment to preserve the peace and do the work,” said GJ Padrino López.

He stressed that the structure of a Combat URRA is equivalent to that of a light infantry battalion of any army, but unlike this classic maneuvering unit, those deployed by the FANB are commanded by a brigadier general or a vice-admiral and its strength is made up not only of ground army troop elements, but also of members of the other military components (Bolivarian Army, Bolivarian Military Aviation, Bolivarian National Guard and Militia), who contribute one or two platoons. of infants or of support weapons.
