The National Government is making progress in the rezoning of students whose schools suffered structural damage

More than 900 schools in the country were damaged during the double earthquake of last June 24, so the Bolivarian Government initiated a plan for the recovery of these schools to guarantee the return to school of boys and girls, said the Minister of Education, Héctor Rodríguez.

In this regard, Rodríguez explained that of these schools, 11 collapsed and 89 have structural damage, so the authorities began a program to “resonate” all the students of these schools so that they can continue their studies in other schools or high schools.

“By September 14, when we start classes, all of these children are going to be rezoned,” he said.

He also stressed that the Government is advancing a schedule to ensure the clearance, before the start of the school year, of the 67 schools that have been used as temporary shelters. “We are ready for all the boys and girls in the country to start classes, as they should be, this September 14th,” he stressed.
