The number of deaths due to landslides increases to ten in the Philippines

Police and local authorities in the Philippines reported that, so far, ten people have died as a result of the landslide that hit a mining town in the province of Davao de Oro, in the south of the Asian country. 

 

Through a post on social networks, the municipality of Monkayo said that rescuers found three dead bodies this Friday near houses buried by mud and piles of rubble, while on Thursday they found seven bodies, including five of them minors.

 

In addition, it reported a missing person and a one-year-old girl is injured, while more than 70,000 families are affected by floods and landslides caused by torrential rains, Xinhua reported.
