The people of Caracas reaffirm their commitment to national defense

During the day the People Go to the Barracks takes place at the Military Academy of Caracas, citizens of several parishes participated in military training in support of national sovereignty.

Juan Galindo, an active participant, highlighted the motivational nature of the day with a patriotic spirit: “The people are ready for whatever comes,” he said while inviting men and women to participate in the training as a sign of their commitment to the defense of the country.

Antonia Díaz, from the women's bloc, highlighted the capacity to organize in the face of external threats: “We too can defend the country,” she said and reiterated that preparation is essential to counter any attempt at invasion.

For his part, Johnny Rondón, from Santa Rosalía Parish, linked the activity to the historical legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez.

“Here we are, ready and willing to give our lives for the Fatherland as Chávez did,” he said.
