With the firm intention of planting areas of harmony and promoting healthy citizen recreation, the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture initiates the project of participatory promotion and social bonding called “Route of Living Spaces”.

This initiative seeks to transform squares, streets, theaters and amphitheaters in the city into living settings, where art becomes the ideal tool to embrace and include all Venezuelans without distinction, to contribute to consolidating peaceful coexistence and mutual recognition through creative sensitivity.

The project was born under an integrative and harmonious vision that understands culture as the perfect bridge for the union and reconstruction of the social fabric.

In this way, diverse artistic manifestations overcome distances to transform into close, warm and accessible experiences, specially designed for Venezuelan families to attend, share and collectively enjoy their urban environments. By revitalizing the restored streets and areas, an active and supportive citizenship is promoted, which finds in the arts a golden opportunity for the reunion and consolidation of daily peace.

This dynamic, proactive and inclusive deployment will formally start in Caracas, with a view to being projected to the entire national territory, through four fundamental pillars: presentation cycles, training workshops, artistic exhibitions and knowledge exchange talks.

The plan not only invites aesthetic enjoyment, but it encourages each citizen to be an active agent of their environment, making each square an open classroom for life and the celebration of our shared identity.

The curtain on the family reunion will be lifted with great enthusiasm this third weekend in June. The opening program will begin on Thursday 18, at 9:00 in the morning, at the Alameda Theater in the San Agustín parish with the children's play “Venezuelan Tales and Legends”, under the direction of L30 Producciones.

The cultural day will continue on Friday 19th, also at 9:00 in the morning, at the Carlos Cruz-Diez Museum of Printing and Design with the staging of the play “A Magical Place”, directed by Janeth Túnez.

For the weekend, the agenda moves to the Doris Wells Room of the Artist's House with alternatives for all ages. On Saturday 20, at 4:00 in the afternoon, adult audiences will be able to see the play “Six Monologues”, under the direction of Jorgita Madrid, while on Sunday 21, at 2:00 in the afternoon, this first cultural round will conclude with a new performance of the play “A Magical Place”, a presentation that marks a small guideline in the development of this integrative project.
