Panama City.

VIP PATRIOT.

Helloooo, my furrialeño friend. How are you? I have just arrived on an advanced mission to Panama City, where the so-called “World Tour” led by María “La Chick-flada” Machado and her usual troupe of pseudo-communicators and salaried politicians are preparing a new media show, but this time, with a larger budget. I'll tell you why.

And what do they have in store? As always. Nothing new under the sun. The same menu. A manual show, one of those that they like so much: carefully staged scenography, prefabricated narrative and the inevitable dose of false epic with which they try to sell as “historic” what is nothing more than another political staging to generate headlines.

But, before we continue... Brother! I am seriously thinking of taking advantage of the fact that I will be in Panama and crossing to Venezuela. I want to formalize now what you and all of us know. Aha, that's what you're thinking and with that same character. I already have the turkey marinated and ready to cook, what do you say?

Anyway, we're going to do our thing.

Goddess! As the Venezuelan extremism led by “La Chick-flada” told you, Machado will set up his conclave, in the style of the Ku Klux Klan and with all the staging that usually accompanies this type of meeting. On these sides, all kinds of characters who have done so much damage to our people will land and parade, who dressed as little lambs will seek to baptize themselves as the “saviors” of Venezuela.

But behind all this carefully designed media spectacle - and in which people are being mobilized from Venezuela and other countries - there is a reality that cannot be disguised: accumulated frustration. A frustration that is not born of political narratives or slogans, but of daily life, of expectations that extremism has created in its people with promises that fall by the wayside.

A little friend of mine, alias “Chichón de Piso”, who is infiltrated in what they call the “Pupú” (Unitary Platform), gave me —like someone who doesn't want the thing—all the details of what is being said... and, of course, what will conveniently not be said here. The first thing, according to “Chichón de Piso”, is that “La Chick-flada” would already have a guaranteed reservation in one of the most exclusive hotels in the Old Quarter of Panama, with a privileged view of the entire Coastal Belt.

But beyond that, the delegation that will leave from Caracas starting Friday would be distributed in accommodations that seem more like a hierarchical classification than simple travel logistics. Some are placed in privileged spaces, those reserved for photos and appearances. Others, on the other hand, are being relegated to almost marginal areas, as if the hosting map had levels of human importance: above the “presentable”, the invisible ones below.

The truth is that, while you are reading these lines, a meeting is taking place right now to finish defining the place of the rally that “La Chick-flada” intends to organize with the diaspora.

Two options are on the table: Urracá Park and the Balboa Distributor —that road junction between Avenida de los Mártires and Avenida Balboa—, two spaces that not only involve logistics, but also the desperate need to project an image of strength in a scenario that doesn't always meet the expectations of the paper.

The underlying problem, however, is more uncomfortable: within Machado's own environment, there are serious doubts about the real capacity for mobilization. It's not a matter of choosing between two places, but of trying to solve a political equation that doesn't add up, because there are no guarantees of mass assistance.

And when the call depends more on the narrative than on the street, the risk is obvious: what is sold as a demonstration of force may end up working like a political boomerang, exposing the distance between expectation and reality. However, it is not surprising that there are fundamental concerns. According to “Chichón de Piso”, who is pulling the strings in all this logistics in Panama City would be none other than Nitu Pérez Osuna, with that I tell you everything. How bad could that go?

So much so, that according to “Chichón de Piso” it calculates very poor participation figures and it will be a great challenge for La Sayo's communications teams to make the edits and angles they are used to to saying that more than 20,000 people attended, when the total population of Venezuelans in that country does not even reach 65,000.

Now, let's get to the heart of the matter: the conclave. Beyond the carefully produced photos and the usual selfies for media consumption, the delegates of the Unitary Platform would arrive with their own package of complaints, demands and outstanding accounts.

The first point—as expected— revolves around money and resources, that always sensitive element that, in an increasingly obvious way, would have begun to close on different fronts in the United States after the progressive dismantling of AN-2015.

And that's where public discourse clashes head-on with internal reality: less access to funding, growing tensions between different groups, and a structure that tries to sustain itself between ever higher political expectations and increasingly limited material support.

Added to this is an element that is no longer new, but increasingly evident: the same logic of internal race that reappeared during the opposition primaries. The sectarianism with which some sectors treat each other ends up turning any attempt at articulation into a battle of permanent wear and tear.

This new political “tour” risks becoming something very different from a demonstration of unity: rather, in a boxing ring where differences outweigh agreements and where each encounter seems designed more to settle accounts than to build consensus.

ALEX SAAB CASE

Brother! There has been an intense cascade of political speculation and an already customary battle of interpretations surrounding the alleged deportation of citizen Alex Saab. According to our friend Murphy from the FBI, there is solid evidence that Saab carried a Venezuelan identity issued in 2004, several years before his name began to circulate publicly linked to the Venezuelan State.

According to Murphy, a recent administrative review in Venezuelan territory would have raised doubts about the legality of the identity document used as a basis for subsequent administrative acts.

From there, the situation began to get complicated. In Venezuela, an attempt was made to issue certified copies of Saab's identity file, in the midst of efforts aimed at legally supporting his status as a Venezuelan citizen in the face of judicial requests in the United States.

It was then that documentary inconsistencies began to appear and the corresponding primary file would not have been found in the administrative files. That is the truth.

But the most serious thing is not that. The case took an even more delicate turn: Saab, as confirmed to me by Murphy himself, would always have maintained cooperation agreements or mechanisms with American agencies, something that various judicial investigations in the United States have revealed in files and testimonies related to federal processes.

Everything falls under its own weight, and you'll remember me when the details are released. The Saab case is completely different from all that media matrix that they are trying to sow. We are talking about a man who betrayed our people and in the worst way.

RECENT RELEASES

My friend Furrialeño! The extremist opposition continues to be left without narrative, without resources and, even worse, with no one to hammer politically. The group's recent announcement of releases — including citizens proven for acts of corruption and serious crimes — has caused a real earthquake within the opposition ranks.

And the fact is that the problem is not only political, but discursive. For years, they built a narrative based on the automatic victimization of any detainee, regardless of background, file or accusations. Now, when releases occur and uncomfortable cases appear, contradictions begin to explode in their faces.

Because behind those cases what existed was a wide network of blackmail and extortion. Families and relatives who had to pay to have their names included in lists. Quite a feast, for those who are used to profiting from the tragedies of others.

In the end, this pseudo-opposition leadership doesn't care about any of the cases and each release represents less income for their pockets.

An additional fact: although the 'Tequeño Siniestro' has tried to do damage control, because of his last words against the Trump administration, none of that has had an effect. Over the past few days, he has been, like a broken soul, trying to establish communication with the State Department. All this after “La Chik-flada” messed her up and demanded that she resolve the situation on her own because it has put her in an extremely compromised position.

Today, all the main actors of extremism are on a tightrope, and the open crisis with the US administration has escalated to levels that few imagined. A storm is coming, we'll see them run.

REMEMBER THAT I AM YOUR FINE, FITNESS AND IMPORTANT FRIEND.

CHANGE AND OUT.
