Caracas Metro continues with maintenance and inspection work on Line 2

The technical crews of the Caracas Metro, accompanied by the Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Francisco Garcés, and the president of the underground transportation system, Yoel Amaya, were deployed on the “Y” of Mamera of the Caricuao - Zoo section to carry out a day of inspection on the railway.

In its account on the social network Instagram, the company specified that the key points of replacing 7,000 meters of rails, in order to optimize the Caricuao - Zoo section, are: Replacement of rails and fixings: replacement of worn sections to ensure road stability; field inspection: direct supervision by technical personnel and the or optimization of the system: evaluation of the state of the sleepers, eclipse and rail adjustment mechanisms.

It points out that the main purpose of these tasks is to increase the operational reliability of trains, prevent track failures and offer a safe and higher quality service for users who travel daily through this sector of the city.
