The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, paid a visit to the Central Plant Thermoelectric Power Plant and the Termocarabobo Power Plant, in Carabobo state, to evaluate the effects of the seismic event and initiate corrections for the comprehensive recovery of the National Electric System (SEN).

The Planta Centro Thermoelectric Power Plant is one of the most emblematic infrastructures in Venezuela and is the main thermal generation complex in the center-west of the country, where the Chinese company Machinery Engineering Corporation has carried out work.

During his visit to the Termocarabobo Power Plant, he supervised the recovery work on the structure that was affected by the earthquakes of last June 24.

The president in charge was accompanied by the Minister of Popular Power for Electric Energy, Rolando Alcalá; the Sectorial Vice President of Public Works and Services, Juan José Ramírez; and the president of Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Héctor Obregón.

This day is part of the thermoelectric energy recovery plan proposed by the head of state with the objective of adding more megawatts to the country's electricity system.
