The current presidential administration of the United States approved this Thursday, September 13, a new package of weapons to be sold to Israel, valued at 164.6 million dollars, in a context of war that is taking place against the Gaza Strip and in the occupied West Bank.

The United States continues its role as an arms supplier to the Israeli Army despite constant criticism from the international community, which points to the North American nation as an accomplice to the Israeli siege and, consequently, guilty of the hundreds of thousands of deaths as a result of the conflict, the Telesur website reported.

The American vice president and presidential candidate for the next four years, Kamala Harris, in what would be her first interview as a candidate for the presidential position, recently told the local press that she will not make any changes to the policy of sending weapons to Israel.

On the exchange of war with Tel Aviv, Harris did not mention anything else, but it was enough to assume that, if elected, children, women, men and the elderly will continue to die in Gaza, where more than 40,000 Palestinians have been killed by the Zionist occupation since October 7 to date. However, he dodged this conversation by considering a possible ceasefire.

The picture is even more critical, since the numbers indicate that since October 7, 2023 and, to date, the United States has sent more than 50,000 tons of weapons to Tel Aviv to continue its genocide, in addition to this package of weapons just approved by the White House.

The figure since the beginning of the genocide was offered by the American media, which offered a balance of Washington's monthly supply to Tel Aviv. The 50,000 tons meant 100 shipments that reached Israeli land by air and ocean transport.

The shipments included “armored vehicles, ammunition, personal protective equipment and medical equipment.”

Each of these weapons has killed more than 40,400 Palestinians, most of them women and children. This is not counting the victims who are under the rubble, which, according to reports from the Gazan authorities, number in the thousands.

Despite its obvious complicity with Tel Aviv, the White House has refused to recognize its involvement in the Israeli-Gazati conflict, and according to experts, they have been camouflaged in ceasefire requests by President Joe Biden and his cabinet.

Faced with this scenario, there have been several global complaints: world leaders, university marches and world activists and organizations have joined a request for a ceasefire.

This Thursday, September 12, the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, on his account on the social network Instagram, before the approval of this new arms sales package, stressed on his social networks that “neither the destruction, nor the genocide, nor the complicit silence of the international elite can erase the hope of Palestinian girls and boys who continue to resist”.

“From Venezuela, we will continue to raise our voices in rejection of Israeli crimes and extermination against this noble people. Enough of the War!” , said the Venezuelan president.
