The working class of the Venezuelan Corporation of Guiana (CVG) formalized its incorporation into the fighting body, as part of the enlistment to join the Bolivarian Militia, the fifth component of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), an action that responds to threats of intervention by the United States against the country's sovereignty.
The day was led by the executive vice-president of the CVG, Santiago Infante, together with representatives of the FANB, presidents of basic companies and workers' delegations.
From Ciudad Guayana, the willingness of the productive sector to actively join the tasks of territorial protection was ratified, in line with the constitutional principles of co-responsibility between the People and the FANB.
During his speech, Infante emphasized that the fighting body represents a concrete expression of institutional loyalty and patriotic conscience.
He pointed out that the working class reaffirms its support for the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and its rejection of aggressions promoted by imperial factors and extremist groups that threaten national stability.
The enlistment process takes place in the context of the deployment in Guiana; the activation of the fighting body as its own organizational structure, aimed at strengthening territorial defense from work spaces, is emphasized. This initiative seeks to consolidate the State's operational capacity in scenarios of external threat,” he said.
With this incorporation, the workers of Guyana confirm their historic role in national construction and their willingness to assume strategic tasks in defense of sovereignty.
“The Fighting Corps is consolidated as an expression of unity, discipline and commitment to peace and self-determination of the Venezuelan people,” he said.
