They articulate actions to exploit and industrialize magnesite deposits in Nueva Esparta

A key meeting for the economic development of the state of Nueva Esparta was held between Governor Marisel Velásquez and representatives of the Venezuelan Military Limited Company of Mining, Petroleum and Gas Industries (CAMIMPEG), with the purpose of addressing issues related to the four magnesite deposits located in the municipalities of García, Antolín del Campo and Gómez.

The meeting made it possible to review in detail the progress of the project for the exploitation and industrialization of this strategic mineral, considered fundamental for the strengthening of the national industry and the promotion of the Special Economic Zone (EEZ) in the island region.

Governor Velásquez was accompanied by the president of CAMIMPEG, Vice Admiral Ovelio Barrera; the Single Authority of the Special Economic Zone, Samir Al Attrach; the president of AGROFANB, G/D Jorge Valbuena; the president of Ebomine, Jonathan Galea, and the regional manager of CAMIMPEG, Colonel Jhajanight Márquez Araya.

This meeting represents a firm step towards the consolidation of Nueva Esparta as a strategic pole in the responsible exploitation of non-metallic minerals, with a vision of the future and comprehensive development.
