The Diocese of Barcelona invites parishioners to participate in the XXIII Pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Christ of Joseph, which will take place this Friday, March 20.

The bishop of the Diocese, Monsignor Jorge Aníbal Quintero Chacón, stressed that the activity has a special meaning of spiritual union for all of Venezuela: walking together, hand in hand with God, to a sacred place. “It is both a physical and spiritual activity that in the Diocese it is customary to celebrate during the season of Lent, specifically the Friday before Council Friday,” said the religious authority quoted by the local press.

Quintero Chacón mentioned that over the years they have tried to count the number of people who attend and the number is incalculable, as more and more devotees are joining, not only from the state of Anzoátegui, but from other regions of the country.

He reported that the day will begin at 8:00 at night from the Metropolitan Park Cemetery, where a concert and the opening prayer will be offered.
