This weekend, President Maduro called on the PSUV militants to a national grassroots debate

The president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nicolás Maduro, proposed and was approved to hold this Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th, a special day on a territorial basis, “to outline the paths of the coming months to “ride this conjuncture of imperialist threat”.

“From Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14, 2025, I propose to the PSUV-JPSUV and other political and social movements that a special day be held on a territorial basis,” he said.

Maduro emphasized the importance of this consultation process, calling it a fundamental action for the party. The day will be organized methodologically by the presidential team and the party's general secretariat, led by the leader Eduardo Piñate.

The proposal was made during the Extraordinary Plenary of the V Congress of the Red Awning and the IV Youth Congress of the organization (JPSUV). “This Congress must serve to outline the paths for the coming months to overcome this conjuncture of imperialist threat,” he stressed.

“Let the plans discussed at this Congress reach the communities,” he said.
