To the full room! Compañía Nacional de Teatro premiered the play “Granada, Betrayal and Crime”

The National Theater Company (CNT)
premiered this Thursday, August 27, in a full theater, the play “Granada, Betrayal and
Crime”, a production that pays homage to the Spanish poet Federico García Lorca, 90 years after his
shooting during the Franco regime.
According to information from the Ministry
for Culture, the staging, presented at the Alberto de Paz y
Mateos Theater in Caracas, offers an immersive journey through Lorca's career and artistic
universe, through references to his works,
musical tastes and personal experiences.
The dramaturgy was in charge of Aníbal
Grunn, who shared direction with Carlos Arroyo and Rufino Dorta, in this production
in which 41 artists from the CNT participate, together with renowned figures from the national
theater such as Francis Rueda, María Brito, Gerardo Luongo, Irabé Seguías and Livia Méndez, as well as new talents from the company.
In addition, the production involves more than
60 workers behind the scenes and features the scenography of Juan Carlos Azuaje.
After the performance, the Albanian actress and
theater director Natasha Habilaj highlighted the quality of the proposal and described
the actors' work as exceptional, while highlighting the direction, scenography, acting and costumes.
“Granada, Treason and Crime” will be on the screen until September 13, from Thursday to Sunday at 7:00 p.m., at the Alberto de Paz y Mateos Theater, located in Las Palmas, Caracas. The tickets have a value equivalent to 5 dollars, according to the official rate of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV).
