Trujillo students star in a day of planting 8,500 trees

Reforestation plan and the “One student one tree” program promote environmental awareness

More than 8,500 trees were planted in Trujillo state, as part of the National Reforestation Plan and the One Student One Tree program, developed by the ministries of popular power for Education and Ecosocialism during the 2023-2024 school year.

In the entity, the venue for the conference was the Juan Bautista Dalla Costa Educational Complex in the Boconó municipality, where students planted 250 fruit and ornamental trees. This was announced by the entity's sole authority for Education, María Palomares, who noted that at this last meeting each student planted his plant for a total of 250 participants in this educational complex.

“We are celebrating, the reforestation plan has been a total success. We planted 8,530 trees throughout the Trujillo state; the education sector is committed to working for an ecosocialist and sustainable Venezuela,” he explained. Palomares recalled that during the month of June, every Tuesday, reforestation days were held, which began in the municipality of San Rafael de Carvajal, where 247 students from 7 secondary education institutions in the town participated, who planted 247 trees of various species.
