After winning three gold, four silver and five bronze medals, the Trujillo state delegation was crowned in the National Taekwondo Cadet Championship, an event where 500 athletes from 19 states of Venezuela participated.
The spaces of the Luis Loreto Lira Sports Village, in Trujillo, were the stage for the emerging talent of the discipline to show their potential in high-level technical and competitive combat, reflecting the constant work of coaches and managers who promote sports development in every corner of the country.
Yaracuy state took second place in the medal table, after equalizing with the locals in gold medals, and obtaining three silver and four bronze medals, while the third place went to the representation of the Anzoátegui state, with three gold and two bronze medals.
In this National Cadet Championship, tribute was paid to Governor Mayor Gerardo Márquez, for his commitment to the sport of Trujillo and his strong support for the construction of a region where high performance is a State policy, according to a press release from the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports.
