TSJ and UNICEF make progress in child protection strategies

Authorities from the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) and representatives of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) held a meeting to strengthen the Justice System with regard to children and adolescents.
The meeting was led by the President of the Supreme Court, Judge Caryslia Beatriz Rodríguez Rodríguez and Manuel Rodríguez Pumarol, representative of UNICEF -Venezuela.
The highest judicial authority emphasized that the integration of efforts to protect Venezuelan children and adolescents is of paramount importance.
The meeting also addressed the efforts of the Venezuelan Judiciary with an organization as important as UNICEF, “a joint effort that will translate into greater benefits for Venezuelan children and adolescents.”
For his part, Manuel Rodríguez Pumarol, explained that the organization, as an agency of the United Nations in charge of, has the interest of advancing a joint work plan with the Venezuelan Judiciary to optimize its work in favor of children and young people.
