Electoral technicians from the United Nations (UN) held a meeting this Tuesday with rectors of the National Electoral Council to join the group of international observers who will participate in the elections on July 28.
It is expected that in the next few hours these international visitors will sign a memorandum of understanding with the authorities of the Comercial Body in order to delimit their participation in the upcoming presidential elections.
It is important to remember that the UN electoral technicians were received, this Monday, by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, with whom they discussed issues related to national sovereignty.
“We have met with the UN Electoral Technical Team to discuss the presidential elections of July 28 and national sovereignty. As part of its visit to our country, in the coming days the UN team will also hold meetings with representatives of the Public Authorities and actors from various political backgrounds who will be part of the upcoming electoral process,” Gil stressed on the social network X.
