The deputy director of the United Nations (UN) agency for Palestinian refugees, Sam Rose, said more than a million people in the Gaza Strip will be left without food in September due to the blockade of humanitarian aid by the Israeli army.

“More than half of the drugs in our health centers are running out, as is chlorine to purify water and other basic supplies,” he said.

According to a report, food and packages of clothes and diapers are stranded in Egypt, after the Israeli Army took the Gazan side of the Rafah border crossing last May. He also added that the Israeli authorities only allow 30 trucks to seek to enter each week through a passage known as “Gate 96" and the capacity of the vehicles is “at arbitrary discretion”.

In addition, Rose warned of a growing wave of infectious diseases in Gaza.

The Gaza Health Ministry reported that the number of people killed by Israel is 41,020, although it is believed that there are about 10,000 more people missing. At least 94,925 people have been injured since the beginning of the war.
