UN Rapporteur denounced the silence of the Western media on Israel's crimes in Gaza

This Monday, the special rapporteur of the United Nations (UN) Francesca Albanese, denounced the silence of the Western media on Israel's crimes in the Gaza Strip.

Through his X account, Albanese wrote: “What doesn't Israel want international journalists to see? The genocide he committed in Gaza is much more horrible than what has been told so far.”

“Humanity, wake up!” , said and argued that “the fact that the Western media no longer talk about the Israeli Genocide in Gaza and the oppression of Palestinians anywhere under the Israeli government, does not mean that genocide and oppression have ceased”.

In her message, the rapporteur shared a statement from the Foreign Press Association where she denounces the prohibition of access to Gaza for international journalists and asks about what Israel does not want them to see in Palestinian territory.

For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported this week that at least 38,000 Palestinians have died since the beginning of Israel's genocidal war in Gaza on October 7, 2023.
