The National University of the Communes (UNACOM) kicked off this Friday at its headquarters in the state of Carabobo the first Holistic Research Day, a pioneering event designed to transform the vision of well-being in the country.

This academic and popular meeting space seeks to integrate scientific knowledge with ancient practices, orienting training towards a model of natural and collective health. With this initiative, the institution reaffirms its commitment to generating knowledge that comes from and for communities, breaking with traditional research schemes.

During the development of the activity, speakers and students discussed the importance of understanding health as an integral process that encompasses the physical, mental and social balance of the individual in their environment.

The day allowed for the exchange of experiences on alternative medicines and complementary therapies, highlighting their potential to strengthen the public health system from the territorial bases. The participants emphasized that holistic research is a fundamental tool for achieving true health sovereignty and good living in each commune.

The deployment in Carabobo serves as the starting point for a series of meetings that aim to expand the study of comprehensive health at all Unacom headquarters nationwide.

The university authorities pointed out that these days are not only academic, but that they represent an act of cultural and scientific resistance that seeks to provide real solutions to the critical issues of society. Through work tables and exhibitions, new lines of research were established that link the production of natural medicine with organized popular organization.

To conclude, UNACOM invited the community and social movements to follow closely the results of this first cohort of researchers and to participate in the next training calls.

The success of this day marks a milestone in Venezuelan university education, consolidating a curriculum that prioritizes common welfare and prevention. All the detailed information on the projects presented and the conclusions of this meeting is available on the university's web portal and its mass dissemination platforms.
