Undefeated! Venezuela won the title in the Pan American Senior Volleyball Cup in Mexico

The Venezuelan men's volleyball team became the champion of the Senior Pan American Cup of the discipline, at the Dome of the León Fair in Guanajuato, Mexico.
In the grand final, Venezuela defeated the local team, Mexico 3-1 (25-23, 25-20, 25-19), and made history by winning its first championship in that tournament and undefeated.
Venezuela's captain, Willner Rivas, was recognized as the competition's Most Valuable Player for his leadership and performance on the court.
In the semifinals, Venezuela defeated its Colombian counterpart 3-2 (25-22, 28-26, 19-25, 15-25, 15-12).
In addition, with their good performance in the tournament, they secured their place in the Central American and Caribbean Games 2026.
The team led by Argentinian Rubén Wolochin demonstrated technical strength, tactical cohesion and superiority, leaving Antigua and Barbuda on the road in the group stage 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-8); the United States 3-0 and Cuba for the same result.
His best position to date was third place in the Pan American Cup in Nevada, United States 2015, when he beat Canada 3-2 to win the bronze medal.
