The Ministry of People's Power for Health incorporated 3,950 state-of-the-art vaccine bottles into the National Vaccination Scheme, following a donation made with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

The official reception of the shipment took place at the National Epidemiology Warehouse and seeks to consolidate the distribution of biological products, the ministerial portfolio reported.

The National Director of Immunization, Eloísa Garrido, explained that the new equipment allows the simultaneous deployment of an equal number of brigades across the country. He also stressed that the daily performance projects the application of more than one million doses, while the built-in thermal safeguards maintain the range of +2 °C to +8 °C and eliminate any risk of freezing the products.

For her part, Tamara Gómez, national coordinator of Biosafety and Biological Products, detailed the capacity installed in the warehouse, which amounts to 19 million doses to guarantee the immunization of the population. He also described the available infrastructure, consisting of a main box and six dual-functioning Sender Suite-type cameras, progressively strengthened through cooperation with UNICEF.
