University of Zulia will host the national meeting for Mathematics Teaching

The University of Zulia (LUZ), located in Maracaibo, Zulia state, will be the scene of the XXVII edition of the Venezuelan School for the Teaching of Mathematics (EVEM), an event that strengthens learning in this area and the integration of new technologies, to promote modern and quality education.

The activity, which runs until this Thursday, September 11, provides knowledge in subjects of geometry, fractions, mathematics with artificial intelligence, basic operations, among others.

During the day of this Tuesday 9th, the Deputy Minister for the Communalization of Science for Production, Danmarys Hernández, presented the advances of the National Scientific Seed Program of the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology (MINCYT), which to date has served more than 650,000 children and young people across the country, bringing them closer to the world of basic sciences, robotics, programming and technological innovation.

In addition, university professor Guy Vernáez presented the Fragata Platform, a pioneering project that seeks to transform the way in which mathematics is taught in schools and high schools.

This event aims to provide teachers with solid and up-to-date training in the area, which will contribute significantly to professional development and to the strengthening of mathematics teaching, responding to the needs of the nation in compliance with the guidelines of the Bolivarian Government.
