US imposes sanctions against Russian media

The United States Department of the Treasury arbitrarily sanctioned Russian media, including: Rossiya Segodnya, RT, RIA Novosti , Sputnik and Ruptly.

Through it announced new restrictive measures: “The Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control has designated 10 individuals and two entities as part of a coordinated response by the U.S. government to Moscow 's malign influence efforts aimed at the 2024 U.S. presidential elections.”

In addition, there are nine people accused of promoting “ malign influence efforts” in connection with the presidential elections in the North American country to be held in November of this year, RT reports.

According to another source, the new ones link to all the properties and interests of designated individuals who are in the United States, are blocked and must be reported to the Office of Foreign Assets Control, the Treasury Department said.
