This Friday, the United States (USA) issued new sanctions against individuals and entities related to the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the midst of the cross-attacks that the Persian nation maintains with Israel, following the aggression initiated by Tel Aviv.
Among the sanctioned entities is Towse Sanaye Nim Resanaye Tarashe, also known as the Anzali Free Trade Zone Semiconductor Chip Industry Development Company, located in the Iranian province of Guilan.
They also mention entities with offices in Yemen and the People's Republic of China, as well as people of nationality of those countries.
In early March, US President Donald Trump sent a letter to the Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warning that Tehran would face military measures if it refused to start talks on a new nuclear agreement.
For its part, Iran ruled out any direct dialogue, considering that history and experience demonstrate the futility of negotiating with Washington while threats and sanctions persist.
Iran, China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany and the European Union signed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), this year, which established limits on the Iranian nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions.
In 2018, during Donald Trump's first term, the United States withdrew from the pact and reinstated sanctions, leading Iran to gradually reduce its commitments.
