The V Biennial of the South: A Look at Images of Villages in Resistance, an event held in the state of Aragua and the Capital District, ends this Friday, September 27, starting at 11:00 a.m., in the spaces of the National Art Gallery (GAN).

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, during the biennial, four important exhibitions were exhibited located in essential museum venues in the nation.

Among them are: Huellas del Sur and Edgar Sánchez and the new drawing in Venezuela, at the Maracay Mario Abreu Museum of Contemporary Art; Life and Creation, at the Popular Council of Culture of the Girardot municipality, and The City Between Memory and Hope.

On the other hand, the streets of Las Tejerías and Bulevar Pérez Almarza, in Maracay, Aragua state, were filled with color and joy as they exhibited a wide variety of large format works and performances that captivated the people of Aragüeño. Later, these artistic exhibitions were moved to Avenida México and the Museum of Fine Arts in Caracas, Capital District.

The Southern Biennial, Peoples in Resistance, Renaissance and Revolution, is an international event to confront the arts of the image and space, which brings together national and international artists with careers from our country. The intention is to create a vision in which community awareness and awareness converges regarding the climate change crisis, its damages, effects and consequences at the global level.
