Valeria Dudamel received official funding and leaves for China to participate in the Wushu Junior World Championship

The young Venezuelan Valeria Dudamel, a
wushu athlete who qualified for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, received her official
endowment from the Ministry of People's Power for Sports on her preparation route.
Dudamel will attend the top youth event in world
sport, where he will represent the country for the first time in this discipline.
After receiving the endowment, Dudamel began his
journey to the city of Tianjin, China, where he will participate in the 10th Wushu Junior
World Championship, a key competition in his preparation for Dakar 2026.
“I am grateful for all the support of the
Ministry, for the endowment and for welcoming us with open arms. Now I am
very focused on the tenth World Championship in China, and we are going with the best
expectations,” said Dudamel, according to a press release from the Ministry of
People's Power for Sports.
For his part, the coach of the
Venezuelan Wushu Federation, Hernando Dudamel, highlighted the impetus in the training and
development of the athlete on this path to her fundamental competence.
“We are grateful for all the steps
taken during our stay in the city of Caracas, in this process of
preparation, training and also for the Youth
Olympic Games in which our athlete Valeria will be participating
on behalf of our country,” added the coach.
