The VenApp platform enabled the special category “24J Earthquake” so that citizens can report missing, injured or trapped people in real time, collapsed houses, damage to road infrastructure, interruptions in electricity, water, gas and telecommunications services.

This option, enabled just two hours after the earthquake of June 24, is part of the actions to support the emergency caused by this natural phenomenon.

Citizens can make the report from their mobile phone or the web platform www.venapp.com, thus providing key information to build a national impact map updated in real time, allowing them to identify with greater precision where urgent care is needed and facilitating the prioritization of resources and the coordination of the response by competent institutions.

The reports registered under the “24J Earthquake” category incorporate information about the location, the type of incident and its level of severity, which are then automatically sent to a situation room (emergency coordination center), from where the authorities monitor the evolution of the situation and coordinate the deployment of rescue teams, medical care, civil protection and other response agencies.

To make a report, citizens only need to log in to VenApp or access the web version, select the “24J Earthquake” category and complete the requested information.
