Venezolana Génesis Ruiz will participate in the 2025 Africa Triathlon Cup

The Venezuelan triathlete Genesis Ruiz will be in action this Saturday, September 13, at the 2025 Africa Triathlon Cup, which will be held in the bay of the main beach of the Andalouses Complex, Oran, Algeria.

The race will be held in a sprint distance comprising 750 meters of swimming, 20 kilometers of cycling and 5 km of running.

Ruiz will be the only Venezuelan representative in the competition and will seek to score valuable points for the international ranking, the Ministry of Sport press reports.

The athlete arrives at a good competitive pace, as she recently won the bronze medal in the I Valida Nacional in Puerto Cabello, and ranked 17th in the duathlon event during the Chengdu World Games in China last August.
