Venezuela got its way to the next round of the U-23 Softball World Cup, after beating Canada 12-0.

The national team needed only four innings to certify their third group stage win. One of the most prominent figures was starter Eduardo Juárez, who barely tolerated four undisputed games and struck out five Canadians.

Regarding the offense, Alvi Paredes opened the action with a two-run home run in the first inning. For his part, Francisco Villegas extended the lead with a round out so that José Beñose scored without problems from the anteroom.

The fourth episode ended up opening the gap between the two with nine more lines. Zakdiel Espinoza hit a home run with two colleagues in circulation, while Wilmer Sira repeated the dose with a similar connection of three annotations.

For his part, Jean Flores pushed one more three-pointer deep into center field and, minutes later, took advantage of a fielding error to score; while Espinoza produced the last one with a double.

With this result, Venezuela closes the group stage in third place, so it advances to the round that will be played with a Round Robin format between the three best teams in groups A and B.
