Venezuela and China reaffirm cooperation ties in strategic financial and energy areas

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez announced that China and Venezuela reaffirmed cooperation ties in strategic financial and energy areas.

Rodriguez, after completing his work agenda in the city of Beijing, China, stressed that after the meeting he held with the president of the National Development and Reform Commission, Zheng Shanjie, an act was signed that will chart the new energy and financial path of cooperation between Venezuela and China.

“This will make it possible to activate our cooperation at a more efficient level and broaden our horizon in areas of work to overcome common challenges,” he said.

He also highlighted the meeting he held with his Chinese counterpart, Han Zheng, to whom he extended Venezuela's thanks for all the support in the face of the blockade and the attacks that exist against the country. In addition, in reciprocity, he reaffirmed all the support of the National Government and the Venezuelan people for the principle of a single China.

“China and Venezuela are part of a united and solid front of international cooperation in defense of the United Nations charter and to strengthen the global south, we repudiate hegemonism and unilateralism that threaten countries' sovereignty,” he said, stressing that Venezuela recognizes the BRICS group as a geopolitical block that is committed to building a new world.

He reiterated Venezuela's commitment to continue strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
