The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, celebrated the start in Venezuela of the Project to Support Social Inclusion, Culture of Peace and Resilience of Girls, Boys and Youth through Music, sponsored by the Government of India and the Cooperation Fund that this country maintains with the United Nations (UN).

“There are already 89 projects in 67 countries, and we are very happy that this cooperation program is the first in Venezuela,” Rodríguez said from the Simón Bolívar Room of the System, where he also presented President Nicolás Maduro's greeting and recognition of this initiative.

He explained that this program aims to strengthen the administrative and artistic capacities of the Venezuelan National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs, as well as to intervene in more centers throughout the Venezuelan territory, extending the scope of musical education to a greater number of girls, boys and young people.

During his speech, he thanked the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and, especially, the Indian government with which Venezuela maintains “extraordinary bilateral relations, with a very specific cooperation agenda, but also where we address common issues on the international and global agenda.”

In this regard, the Executive Vice President emphasized the relevance of this project in the context of South-South Cooperation, a fundamental pillar for The System since its creation by teacher José Antonio Abreu.
