Venezuela and Indonesia explore investment opportunities in the shrimp sector

The Minister of the People's Power of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo, held a working meeting with the diplomatic delegation of the Republic of Indonesia accredited to Venezuela, headed by the ambassador, Fikry Cassidy, with the objective of strengthening bilateral cooperation and exploring investment opportunities in the Venezuelan fishing and aquaculture sector.
The meeting was attended by the counselor and head of Economic Affairs of the Indonesian Embassy, Romanna Sirai and the representative of Economic Affairs, Imanudin Noor.
During the meeting, both delegations reviewed the potential of Venezuela in aquaculture, especially shrimp farming, an activity that has shown significant growth and positioning in international markets.
In this regard, Minister Loyo explained the potential of the states Zulia, Falcón and Sucre, for shrimp production, in order to develop bilateral agreements between Venezuela and Indonesia.
It is expected that technical visits will soon take place between the two nations to finalize joint projects in the field of aquaculture.
For his part, Ambassador Cassidy thanked the presentation made by the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture, and expressed his willingness to identify opportunities for cooperation and investment.
