The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, held a meeting this Tuesday with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, with whom he addressed the genocide of the Palestinian people committed by Israel.

Since the 55th session of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations (UN), which is taking place in Geneva, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister asserted that the meeting was crucial, considering the serious humanitarian crisis in Palestine.

“We discussed the urgent need to stop the genocide of the Palestinian people, as well as to guarantee their right to return to their land,” Gil said on his account on the social network X.

The Global South, on several occasions, has demanded before the UN a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, as well as in the rest of the occupied territories, in compliance with respect for international law.

The ties of brotherhood between Venezuela and Jordan have made it possible, over the years, to establish agreements in different areas, such as agriculture, housing, tourism and culture, among others, based on respect and solidarity.

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, has stated that Venezuela will remain firm in the construction of a multicentric and multipolar world, through the promotion of Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace with sister peoples, Jordan being one of them, with whom it is expected to continue making progress in the implementation of new projects, plans and strategies for comprehensive cooperation.
