The ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Moravia Peralta Hernández, held a courtesy meeting with the director general for the Americas and the Caribbean of the Kenyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Stella Muthoni Munyi, at the headquarters of the Kenyan Foreign Ministry in Nairobi, in order to review bilateral cooperation and address issues on the global agenda.

During the meeting, the Chief of Mission emphasized that Venezuela has been subject to systematic harassment by the United States (USA), whose government has orchestrated campaigns to discredit and disregard its democratic institutions, and the illegal application of unilateral coercive measures (MCU) as tools of political and economic coercion, which constitutes a violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, particularly with regard to the principle of non-intervention and State sovereignty.

At the meeting, the parties evaluated the possibility of coordinating bilateral meetings within the framework of the next 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 80), to be held from September 9 to 23, in New York.

Likewise, the Venezuelan diplomat referred to the XVIII edition of the Venezuelan International Tourism Fair (FITVen) 2025, which will be held in Caracas from November 28 to December 1 and, in this regard, reiterated the formal invitation extended by the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez Hernández, to the highest authorities of the Kenyan tourism sector to participate in the said event, in order to promote and consolidate alliances and programs of mutual benefit in this area.

Ambassador Peralta Hernández, on behalf of the People and Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, called for the deepening of binational ties of friendship and cooperation in various sectors of mutual strategic interest.
