The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Niger signed a new agreement this Thursday to strengthen brotherly relations and bilateral cooperation, as well as to move forward in the construction of a shared future.

This was reported by the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, after holding a meeting with his Nigerian counterpart, Yaou Sangaré Bakary, who is visiting Caracas to strengthen the binational strategic alliance.

“On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, we held a significant meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Niger, Yaou Sangaré Bakary, to reaffirm our cooperation based on South-South integration, which today promotes the new multipolar world where respect and equality between nations are prioritized,” said the Venezuelan Foreign Minister on his Telegram channel.

He added that, during this meeting, held at the Casa Amarilla Antonio José de Sucre, “a new agreement was signed that reflects the commitment of both countries to strengthen existing ties and build a shared future.”

The signed agreement concerns the Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic and Service Passports between the two governments.
