Venezuela and Syria strengthen cooperation in productive and commercial areas

The meeting encouraged the exchange of knowledge in various areas

The Minister of Popular Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo, held a meeting with the ambassador of Suria in the country, Kenan Zaher Al Deen, with the purpose of strengthening ties of friendship and collaboration, as well as encouraging the exchange of knowledge in various productive and economic areas, in a context marked by international sanctions.

The ministerial body, on its account on the social network Instagram, reported that during the meeting, strategies were discussed to exchange experiences in the productive and commercial sectors, and also to implement policies that help mitigate the severe repercussions of the blockade imposed by the United States faced by both Syria and Venezuela.

Venezuela and Syria have maintained diplomatic relations for more than 76 years, which has allowed the signing of multiple agreements in political, economic, commercial, tourist and cultural areas.

The relationship between presidents Nicolás Maduro and Bashar al-Asad has been key in this process. Thanks to their friendship and collaboration, Venezuela and Syria continue to work together to promote twinning between their Peoples and to share valuable experiences in different fields.
