Representatives of the Venezuelan state of La Guaira and the city of Gaziantep in Türkiye signed a strategic cooperation agreement to reinforce key areas such as the economy, culture, the tourism sector and politics between the two nations.
The governor of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, was responsible for Venezuela to sign this alliance, highlighting its importance for the construction of the city and citizenship in areas such as family, organization, tourism, economy and education. “These are key concepts for the development of human well-being,” he said.
“We are very proud to be able to begin this new phase of twinning and cooperative relations with our older sister Gaziantep, from whom we have a lot to learn,” said Terán about this agreement, number 26 for La Guaira.
The governor also highlighted the role of the Special Economic Zone (ZEE) of the coastal entity, created by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, as an engine to boost the economy and other spheres of society.
