The president of the Venezuelan-Turkish Business Chamber, Hayri Kucukyavuz, reported that starting September 15, the direct route for shipping goods between the two nations will start.

“This will greatly facilitate economic growth and will increase commercial relations between Venezuela and Türkiye to reach the goal of 3 billion dollars in the next three years,” he said in an interview with a radio outlet.

He also explained that this year the commercial exchange closes in the order of 800 million dollars and explained that the first boat will depart from Türkiye with wheat flour, pasta, chocolate, motor oil, cosmetics, detergents and shampoo.

“The ship has a capacity for 400 containers, which are 10,000 tons,” he said, while explaining that transporting goods will take 18 days to reach their destination, allowing for capital to be invested “three times” over a period of two months.

He also stated that in the month of June they sent merchandise to Türkiye and it lasted 63 days to arrive with international shipping companies, because the goods leave Venezuela go to Panama, then Spain, pass through Israel and then to Türkiye,” he said.

Kucukyavuz said that for next year, the export of tropical fruits, Chinese beans, coffee and sesame seeds will be promoted from Venezuela to the Eurasian country through the direct route.

On the other hand, he invited to participate in the third edition of the Türkiye Expoferia, which will be held in November in La Carlota and will be attended by businessmen from both countries.
