‎Venezuela and Vietnam build joint mechanisms against communication hegemony

‎Autoridades of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam established this Monday a strategic vision in terms of communication to strengthen their integral partnership, promote common values of sovereignty and development, and counteract the narratives of hegemonic media.
During a meeting, held at the “Antonio José de Sucre” Yellow House, delegations from both nations coordinated their work in the field of information to disseminate history, culture, socio-economic development and potential for collaboration between Caracas and Hanoi.
‎El president of Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Hernán Canorea, said that it is necessary to promote with Vietnam a dissemination mechanism on all digital platforms that objectively narrate the truth of the peoples of the global south.
‎ “From the State channel, we are available to exchange information programs, so that humanity knows the daily events of both peoples,” he said.
‎Entretanto, the deputy director general of Vietnam Television, Do Duc Hoang, pointed out that VTV can be an informational bridge between the Vietnamese people and institutions, prioritizing discourses that promote identity, culture and national roots.
‎El Asian media outlet proposed to the channel of the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela to work on the following alliances:
‎1 - Insert the Vietnamese channel to Venezolana de Televisión's open signal.

‎2 - Disseminate the truth of both countries in political, economic, cultural, tourist, health, sports, gastronomic and religious matters.

‎3 - Promote informational programs, news, documentaries, among others.

‎4 - Promote the exchange of journalists from both peoples to strengthen cooperation in the field of information and communication.
Vietnam's‎El ambassador accredited in Caracas, Vi Trung Muy, together with the leadership team of Vietnam Television, will hold a meeting this Tuesday with directors of the Ministry of People's Power for Information Communication (MIPPCI) and VTV to set out concrete actions and strengthen the bilateral alliance in the area of telecommunications.
